Fall Activities in Downtown South Bend 2022

Find the perfect event for the whole family to enjoy during this fall! There is something for everyone.



October 21st, 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.


The Pigeon & The Hen Pottery has everything you need to come up with a design idea for your planter, such as stencils, specialty glazes, and tons of techniques to bring your planter to life!


October 24th, 5:00 p.m.


Mark your calendars now for Cops and Goblins 2022 - a special Halloween trick-or-treating night hosted

by SBPD and the South Bend Cubs.

Trick-or-treaters will be invited to make their way through the concourse at Four Winds Field to collect candy and other treats from dozens of local vendors.



October 24th-28th, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.



A "murder" has occurred in the library! Find clues hidden throughout the library to solve the crime. Participants will receive a goodie bag and be entered into the drawing for a grand prize.



October 26th, 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.


Everyone’s favorite Halloween Trunk or Treat makes its much anticipated return!




All witches, ghouls, ghosts, and goblins are invited to explore the Studebaker National Museum during the annual Trunk-or-Treat Halloween Event. There will be all kinds of treats and a spooky skeleton scavenger hunt.



October 27th, 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.


The goal of Say Boo To Drugs is to provide our communities with a safe Trick or Treat event while also getting substance abuse prevention materials into the hands of families so they can start having the important discussion with their loved ones around the dangers of substance misuse and abuse.



October 28th, 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.


Happy Halloween! Ironhand Vineyard is celebrating a little early with a costume party and spooky tunes by DJ Ethan!



October 29th, 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.


Calling wizards, witches, and magical folks of all ages for a very special tea time at Fiddler’s Hearth!

Finger sandwiches, whimsical wizarding treats & spooky sweets will be served alongside your pot of tea. There will be plenty of photo opportunities around the pub so be sure to wear your best dress robes!



October 29th, 9:00 p.m.



Come kick with the hype crew! Costumes are optional but encouraged.



October 29th, 8:00 p.m.


Join The 1985 and the team at U93 for their Monster Bash at the Century Center in South Bend! Let your imagination run wild and show up in costume because over $1,000 in cash and prizes will be handed out! This is a 21+ event.



October 30th, 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.


Take a free ride on the Boilermaker Special around South Bend and then trick or treat! All ages are welcome to attend!




October 30th - November 1st


Through music, dance, food, and fun, the South Bend Symphony Orchestra, South Bend Civic Theater, St. Joe County Public Library, Indiana University South Bend Civil Rights Heritage Center, La Casa de Amistad, South Bend Community School Corporation, and Morris Performing Arts Center unites to bring the community together to celebrate Dia de los Muertos.


Experience the South Bend Symphony Orchestra, along with South Bend's Folklorico Dancers, mariachis Vanessa Alonzo, and Trio Chapultepec at 3:00 p.m. on October 30th at the Morris Performing Arts Center.



October 31st, 8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.


Search for Olive's ten Bracelets with your group in a pitch dark haunted mansion! Each group will be given one small flashlight, and will have 15 mins to complete the mission.
