Start your holiday shopping early this First Fridays as the 400 block of S. Michigan St. comes alive for Arts After Dark. Downtown South Bend’s Art District is setting the scene for an evening of local art, handmade gifts, food, entertainment, and open studios, all on one walkable block.

The sidewalk outside Highland Studio & Gallery, The Rocki Button, and Artifact Vintage & Antiques becomes an open-air marketplace, with local artisans setting up booths outdoors and inside The Rocki Button. Browse one-of-a-kind finds, meet the makers behind them, and check a few names off your list while supporting the creative community that makes downtown home.

Step into Highland Studio & Gallery for a gallery showing, catch live music at The Rocki Button, and stick around for laughs from Drop Comedy Club, located inside The Rocki Button. Then dig through the treasures at Artifact Vintage & Antiques for a gift with a story behind it.

Shopping works up an appetite, and local food trucks will be lined up along MLK Blvd. to keep you fueled. Grab a bite between stops and enjoy flavors from some of the area’s favorite mobile kitchens.

When the market wraps up, the night isn’t over. The Rocki Button keeps the energy going with an after party that carries Arts After Dark well into the evening.
Grab a friend, stroll the block, and get a head start on the season, the local way.

A Healing Oasis invites you to attend their First Fridays Open House, which is all about you coming to find out what their practitioners have to offer. Healers share their "magic" by offering mini sessions. You will also have a chance to check out their retail space, group events, and what services are at A Healing Oasis.

They are located near Fire Arts and are a minority-owned studio that is seeking to build individual and community power through pole dance. They provide quality pole instruction and a welcoming atmosphere for all of their students.

They will be featuring an Intro to Pole Class every First Fridays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for $22. Registration is required and can be done on their website.
