FOOTBALL FRIDAYS

We at DTSB are taking 2023 off for this event as we focus our energy on making our other events even better, especially the 20th anniversary of Art Beat taking place August 19! We have selected our 2023 events based on which events garnered the most engagement and attendance in the past. We are happy to creatively partner with any entity on our 2023 events and look forward to a fun year of memory-making in downtown South Bend!

The Courtyard by Marriott South Bend Downtown, in partnership with Downtown South Bend, Inc. and Visit South Bend Mishawaka, will be hosting Football Fridays tailgate events on the Gridiron the Friday before each ND Home Game through November 5th. Fans are encouraged to wear their ND apparel and attend this free, family-friendly event taking place from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The public is encouraged to grab carryout from a downtown eatery and enjoy it at a special physically-distanced seating area that will be set up on the Gridiron. A list of downtown restaurants to enjoy take-out from appear below. There will be live music, food trucks, yard games, and a cash bar provided by the Courtyard by Marriott South Bend Downtown.

Football Fridays will feature live music from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The Football Fridays event dates and bands are as follows:

September 10th - Phineas Gage Band

September 17th - The Grooveheads

October 1st - Ultrafab

October 22nd - Ultrafab

October 29th - Ultrafab--CANCELED

November 5th - The Erly

Tables and chairs will be cleaned by DTSB Ambassadors throughout the event, and hand sanitizer will be available. We will be following CDC Guidelines on mask usage: vaccinated participants will not be required to wear a mask, but mask usage will be recommended for non-vaccinated participants
