RED TABLE PLAZA

Applications are now closed for 2019. If you are interested in being a part of Red Table Plaza, please check back in the Spring of 2020.

The streets of downtown will be resonant with the music of local musicians for 18 weeks during the Red Table Plaza Lunchtime Concert Series. Monday through Thursday, June 3 through August 29, soloists, duets and small groups will perform free acoustical concerts (weather permitting) from 11:45 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. Downtown workers and visitors are invited to take a seat in Studebaker Plaza, at the southwest corner of Jefferson and Michigan Street. Grab lunch from a nearby restaurant or bring your own, then enjoy it while taking in the tunes!

This year’s series once again is a fundraiser for The Music Village, a non-profit music school and arts alliance located in downtown South Bend. Performers have the option of donating their $75 to The Music Village, and the Red Table Plaza marketing materials will indicate which performances are benefiting The Music Village.

2019 marks the eighth year of partnership between the Red Table Plaza Lunchtime Concert Series and the Morris Performing Arts Center’s Fridays by the Fountains. On these Fridays, Red Table Plaza’s tables and chairs will relocate to Jon Hunt Plaza at Colfax and Michigan for one big downtown concert!

The café tables and chairs give this concert series its name are provided by DTSB.

Foegley Fridays

DTSB is proud to partner with the South Bend Civic Theatre for an extension of the Red Table Plaza Lunchtime Concert Series – Foegley Fridays. Each Friday in September the public is invited to free lunchtime concerts (11:45 am to 1:15 pm) in the newly-created Foegley Plaza, located to the south of the South Bend Civic Theatre, Marion Street.
