Courtney Kubly

Director of Business Development

Courtney joined DTSB in May of 2022, coming from a 20-year career in corporate retail and also nonprofit leadership. Moving to the area 7 years ago, she is passionate about South Bend and the business community and works to attract, retain, and support all of the businesses both large and small in our downtown footprint.  

In her current role, she organizes and manages the following programs: Business Ribbon Cuttings, Exterior Enhancement Grants, and Riverfront Liquor Licenses as well as coordinates the Downtown Partners After-Hours group, and the Downtown Dining Alliance, which is a consortium of twenty-five locally owned and independent restaurants in downtown Sout Bend.  

Courtney obtained her BS in Communications and Public Relations from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, is a Class 46 graduate of the Leadership South Bend Mishawaka program, was recognized as a 40/40 recipient, and was most recently honored as the “Change Agent of the Year 2023” by Real Services. She serves on 5 local nonprofit boards as well as co-facilitates a Youth Leadership Program for female high school students, and mentors women and minority small business owners through a partnership with the City of South Bend and Notre Dame. In her free time, her calendar is filled with all of the fun events happening downtown; from live music to local theater and the arts, and all of our delicious dining options!
