October Brings Surge of New Businesses to Open in Downtown South Bend
September 27, 2013 — Downtown South Bend Inc. (DTSB) announces eleven new businesses to open in the downtown district. The new businesses include five (5) restaurants, three (3) service-oriented shops, one (1) art gallery, one (1) retail shop, and one (1) health care center. These businesses will generate over 100 new jobs and almost two million of private investment into renovating existing spaces.
DTSB’s Director of Business Engagement, Krista Keirnan, states; “We are very excited about these businesses opening and bringing a surge of economic development to the area. Both local and regional entrepreneurs are seeing South Bend’s unique abilities to support local businesses.”
The new businesses are as follows:
Body Evolution– Fitness center
Dancehipology- Dance studio
Indiana Rug Co.- Textile Boutique
LaSalle Kitchen & Tavern- A Gastropub
Linden Grill- Soul food classics
Same Love, Same Life- Art gallery
South Bend Community School Corporation Health Center– Health center for the employees of SBCSC
Swolfies- Pizza and sub shop
The Exchange- Whiskey Bar
The Vibrance Center– Natural wellness center
Woochi- Asian Fusion and Sushi
