


Public Invited to Pitch Your Plan Finals on Tuesday, June 19
June 14, 2012 — Downtown South Bend, Inc. (DTSB) – in collaboration with Banko Capital; the North Central Indiana Small Business Development Center (NCISBDC); Ugly Dog Media, Inc.; WNIT; WVPE; and Historic Preservation of South Bend & St. Joseph County – invites the public to the “Pitch Your Plan” finals where nine individuals and teams will pitch their ideas for the redevelopment of the State Theater to a panel of expert judges. The event will take place inside the State Theater on Tuesday, June 19, from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. hosted by local author and humorist, Ted Fox.
Each team will be given ten minutes to address ten topic areas including the idea, business model, customer, competition, message, sales approach, inner workings, management team, money forecast and the next steps. Following each presentation, ten minutes will be allotted for a question and answer session with the panel of judges.
The finalists will present in the following order: Neal Vogel, Scott Lewis and Frank Moon; Adrian Dotson, Mariah Lampkin and Ivy Jackson; Tom and Doug Conway; Liz, Che and Mike Brueseke; Alan Stout; Gavin Ferlic, Paul Phair and David Sierdzki; Jeremy McClements, Andrew Elegante and Brendan Gallagher; Ned Swanson; Joe Crimmins and Alex Regnery. The nine finalists were selected out of nearly 90 submissions from contestants aged six to 60. For the past four weeks, all finalists have worked with a business coach from NCISBDC while finalizing the presentation and pitches.
The panel of judges was selected based on their experience with downtown development, entertainment, tourism and finance and include CBRE|Bradley President and CEO Brad Toothaker, DTSB Executive Director Aaron Perri, Anthony Travel owner Katie Anthony, TCU Vice President and Commercial Lending Manager Mark Noeldner. Assaf Zvi Dagan, President and Founder of Banko Capital, L.L.C., will be in attendance to present the winner with the $1000 cash prize at the end of the presentations.
